普段の生活では目立たない人が、異常事態になると突然ウルトラマンに変身することがある。福島原発で活躍中のフクシマ５０、ハイパーレスキュー消防隊、自衛隊達だ。彼らは放射線を知り尽くした専門家集団だ。その彼らが命を掛けて恐怖と向き合いながら戦かっている。またテレビには被災地の後片付けのため、若者のボランティアが大勢詰め掛けている姿が映されていた。普段の若者を嘆く者もいるが、いざとなれば彼らはウルトラマンの子供達だ。若者も捨てたもんじゃない。異常事態は人の能力を裸にする。一方政府は相変わらず機能不全。逆も真なりか。
